Melter/ Pourer

Position Summary:

• Working safely by following company rules and wearing the proper safety equipment
• Operating several pieces of equipment including: melting furnaces, overhead cranes, manual pouring ladle
• Weighing and measuring charge material to a recipe
• Relining ladles and furnaces, documenting metal chemistry, communicating with the lab and molding floors
• Keeping work areas clean and free of debris
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work safely and independently
• Need to have reliable transportation
• Ability to work overtime as scheduled
• Ability to drive a forklift
• Must be safety conscious
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to learn to operate overhead cranes, hoists and reline ladles/furnaces
• Complete basic math (addition and subtraction) to calculate alloy additions
• Be able to read, understand and process instructions
